Milton & Fulston Utd Under 8's

Milton & Fulston Utd Vs. Real 60 (11-09-11)

Match 1

Our home pitch looked in great condition for the start of the new Under 8’s season where we welcomed Real 60. The first half was a tight affair with Jack Galloway dominating the midfield and almost adding a goal that was well saved by the Real 60 keeper.  Further chances from Joseph and Jack O in the first half went very close.  Real 60 had their share of chances in the first and second half, but some great goalkeeping from Man of the Match Dylan flying of his line, helped him keep a clean sheet.  Josh O was solid in defence, making some great interceptions and challenges and was well supported by Armed and Samuel.  In the second half Joseph almost scored with a fantastic lob that the keeper just palmed away.  Then a wonderful dribble by Jack Galloway beating three players until he was failed led to a free kick on the edge of the box.  Up stepped Jack O who directed his shot into the top left hand corner, only for it to be deflected by a header on the line.  At this point it is important to note coach Mark Jenner said he thought it would be difficult to score today …..

Match 2

The second match started well with some great movement from Jaden, Will and Elijah before Will set up Elijah who slotted home the first goal of the season.  This was shortly followed by a sweet left foot shot from Will.  Real 60 came back fighting and scored a good goal that Finn done well to get his hand too.  Lewis’ non stop work in the heart of midfield allowed Jaden and Elijah to support Will for his second, third and then fourth goals in the second half, with his third coming after using his amazing feet to beat two defenders in the box and finish into the bottom left hand corner. Early in the second half Finn made a terrific save to deny the Real 60 attack, and this was shortly followed by Elijah adding his second and third, before a Real 60 own goal after Lewis shot and then an absolute scorcher from Isaac who shot just inside the Real 60 half to see his effort fly into the top right hand corner.  The boys then proceeded to dominate the midfield with Elijah then scoring the next six goals with the pick of the bunch being his ninth where he beat four players before coolly slotting it past the keeper. Man of the Match Will, finished the scoring with a goal that was touched by every MFU player. A great performance and start to the season.

New Road Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (18-09-11)

Match 1

Good conditions set up our first away fixture against New Road, we started off the match positively in a tightly fought game in midfield and then some good work from Josh O at the back set Jack O free to score a great first goal where he beat two defenders before slotting it past the goalkeeper.  New Road responded well and attacked the MFU goal with some great defending from Archie, Armed and Josh before they broke the deadlock with an unstoppable goal that Dylan almost got a hand too.  Almost immediately a fantastic kick by Dylan then allowed Joseph on the left to go on a surging run before passing to Jack Galloway who beat his defender firing a shot with his left foot into the bottom right hand corner.  The second half saw some great possession from MFU with solid passing by the defence and midfield.  Joseph went close to scoring with a terrific right foot shot from the edge of the area, before Jack G was fouled.  Jack G stepped up and hit a beautiful left foot curling free kick into the top right hand corner where the keeper stood no chance.  The game was closely contested with great possession from both sides.

Match 2

The second match started extremely well with one armed Will (Gary Linker 86 World Cup) scoring a terrific left foot strike from the edge of the area into the top hand corner.  This was shortly followed by some great footwork by Elijah in the box who then hit a fierce shot into the New Road net.  Isaac put in a great first half display as did Jaden but the tireless and tigerish performance from Lewis throughout the match earned him the man of the match.  In the second half New Road struck back with two great strikes that Finn was unable to reach, and this then sparked Isaac to go on a darting run down the right and cross superbly for Will to hit first time into the New Road goal, this was shortly followed by some great work on the left wing by Elijah who crossed for Wills hat trick, who repaid his team mates by setting up Lewis to smash the ball home for his first of the season.

Hempstead Valley Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (25-09-11)

Match 1

A brilliant performance by the blue and blacks to see Jack O’Neil scoring goals in either half against a good Hempstead team, Defensively Dylan and Josh O were outstanding as was Joseph and Jack Galloway in the heart of midfield and great defending and positioning earned Samuel the Man of the Match Award.

Match 2

Another great performance saw William hit a fantastic curler after responding to an early Hempstead strike that Finn was unable to reach. Solid defending and midfield play from Isaac, Lewis and Man of the Match Jaden allowed Elijah to beat his marker and score minutes from the end, only for a late late strike from Hempstead.

Oak Athletic Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (02-10-11)

Match 1

A great performance against a strong Oak side saw Elijah early on put a great cross in for Will to clinically finish. This was shortly followed by another well worked move this time on the right, for Will’s second.  Man of the Match, Isaac was solid in defence, passing brilliantly through to Lewis and Jaden who helped support defence and attack.  An unfortunate error allowed a good Oak strike to beat Finn, but then Isaac set up Elijah on the left to beat two players before finding Will in the box to finish for his third hat-trick of the season.

Match 2

Another entertaining match, unfortunately Armed injured his ankle early on. Dylan was terrific in goal as was Josh Overy at the heart of defence who was an absolute rock.  Man of the Match Archie played the anchor role for Jack Galloway, Jack O’Neil and Joseph Casey to attack and defend as a midfield trio and a terrific first half corner from Jack O’Neil saw his effort go into the top right hand corner.  A couple of great chances by Jack G and Joseph almost saw some more goals. Another great game well supported and played by both teams.

Strood Utd Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (09-10-11)

Match 1

MFU continued there excellent run this season with two first half goals, the first coming from Jack O’Neil who did well to receive the ball from Joseph just outside the oppositions box and hit a great shot into the Strood goal.  The second came following some great defensive play from Man of the Match Josh who fed the ball to Archie who subsequently found the other Man of the Match Jack Galloway who beat his man before smashing the ball into the top right hand corner.  In the second half Joseph made some terrific runs on the right constantly being fed by Samuel and Archie, who was working like a tiger in the midfield.   Josh was an absolute rock in defence which allowed Jack O on the left to find Jack G whose shot deflected off a defender for the third goal. Dylan kept his fourth clean sheet out of five games with a great one on one save to deny the Strood attack.  Another terrific performance by the “zebras”.

Match 2

A solid display by Finn to keep another clean sheet in a very tough match against a strong and well organised Strood team.  Debutant Connor made a great start to his MFU campaign with some great passes from midfield supporting Will in attack.  Both Lewis and Jaden played absolutely fantastic in the heart of defence, both setting up some great moves out of defence to support Connor.  Midway through the first half, Elijah made a great run on the left wing beating a couple of defenders before crossing and finding Will in the middle, who clinically finished for his thirteenth of the season into the Strood goal.  The second half saw MFU continue to attack the Strood goal but some great chances from Will, Connor, Elijah and Jaden all fell short.  Parents Man of the Match was awarded to Elijah for his tireless running and wingplay, but overall it was a great team performance by all the boys and a great debut from Connor.

Sheerness East Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (23-10-11)

Match 1

From the kick off it was not long before Elijah hit the post after beating his man and Will followed in with another clinical finish.  The first half saw some terrific defending from Isaac who was passing some great through balls with one finding Will on the left before crossing for Connor to finish.  Within minutes Lewis then set up Will just inside the Sheerness half for Connor to hit an absolute screamer into the Sheerness East net from the half-way line.  Sheerness played well and responded before MOM Connor scored for his hat-trick before Elijah then finished off the scoring. A fantastic performance from Finn, Isaac and Lewis supporting the attackers

Match 2

Another great start saw Jack O lead by example with a couple of trademark powerful runs from the heart of midfield both finishing with goals, before Jack Galloway hit a curler from the edge of the box.  Dylan, Josh and Armed played well in defence and midfield and were unfortunate to let one in before the end of the first half.  The second half allowed Jaden and Joseph to attack on both wings and they both finished of great passing play from the team to score their first goals of the game.  Sheerness responded again, with Dylan unable to save, but this was immediately followed MOM Jack’s hat-trick and eighth of the season.

Chatham Riverside Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (06-11-11)

Match 1

It had appeared an age since we last played at home, but a terrific performance by the “zebras” saw a fantastic first half with two goals from Jack Galloway and one from Jack O’Neil.  MOM Jack G was everywhere and scored for this hat-trick in the second half when he hit an absolute screamer into the top left hand corner.  This was shortly followed by some great build up play from Josh O who was again solid in the heart of the defence.  Josh’s pass out of defence then set up Jack O for a fantastic second half strike and his 10th of the season.  Dylan played fantastic in goal making some terrific saves and keeping his fifth clean sheet of the season.  Samuel was like a tiger in midfield and then set up Jaden for a great left foot finish for his second of the season, before Joseph rounded of a brilliant performance also scoring his second in two games, with a strike in the bottom left hand corner.

Match 2

The team started where the others boys of, some terrific play from Will on the left set up Elijah for his first.  This was shortly followed by his second and third of the match.  Connor then deservedly scored his fourth in three games.  MOM Finn was solid in goal, commanding his area throughout and supported by excellent performances from Lewis and Archie in defence/midfield.  Elijah then set up Will for his first of the match.  The second half saw some terrific passing play from the entire team started by Connor from a goal kick and allowing Elijah to run down the line before rounding the keeper and scoring his fourth of the game (16th of the season), this was shortly followed by an amazing run on the left wing by Will who played a lovely cross for lewis to then pass back across the goal for Will to clinically finish for his second of the game and 16th of the season.

Milton & Fulston Utd Vs. Bredhurst Juniors (13-11-11)

Match 1

Probably one of best second half performances of the season, the first half saw Jaden hit his third in three games but very little else happened in the game until the second half which saw the prolific Jack O strike four times, with the best being his forth following a powerful run and shot to beat the keeper.  This further followed by a terrific double from Jack Galloway and the first goal of the season in his first game following a lengthy twelve week broken arm from Josh DeCarte, clinically finishing as he had done  pre-season.  Finn and Josh D were solid in goal and defence and the man of the match was awarded to Joseph for his tireless running in the second half.

Match 2

Most definitely the best pass and move performance of the season, saw Elijah open the scoring, shortly followed by a quick fire hat-trick with goals being set up by Will and Connor on the left.  Connor added a further two great goals, supported by Isaac’s attacking play, before Will fired in a terrific free kick from the right.  This was shortly followed by great first time strikes from Samuel and then Lewis from crosses from the left and right.  The second half saw MOM Will grab a further two for his hat-trick, Elijah a further one for his forth before being brought down in the penalty box for Dylan (keeper) to fire home a great penalty for his first MFU goal, A great performance almost ended with Isaac hitting a powerful right foot shot that went just wide of the post.

Milton & Fulston Utd Vs.Sheerness East (20-11-11)

Match 1

Another terrific game for the “zebras” with Jack O continuing on his great vain of form now hitting 13 goals in his last 4 matches.  Supported by Jack G, Archie Jaden and Josh O in defence and midfield they allowed Jack O to attack, the pick of the goals was his hat trick goal and 17th of the season where he beat his man and shot magnificently into the top right hand corner.  Man of the Match in only is second game of the season was Josh Decarte who was powerful in attack and scored two clinical goals.  Dylan was unlucky and unable to reach either of the Sheerness goals, where on their second he made a terrific double save before they found the net.

Match 2

Not the team’s greatest performance of the season catching a solid and resilant Sheerness defence and goalkeeping display.  Towards the end of the first half Elijah found Connor to clinically finish for his 7th goal of the season.  The second half saw some great attacking play, until Isaac found Will on the left who beat a couple of players before hitting an amazing left foot curler from outside the box into the top right hand corner of the net, a fantastic goal and well deserved.  Lewis was a solid as ever in the heart of the midfield and Finn kept his 5th clean sheet of the season.

Chatham Vs. Milton & Fulston Utd (27-11-11)

Match 1

A brilliant performance on the large heavy pitch following the overnight rain.

A fantastic opening move and pass from Jack Galloway to free Jack O’Neil who opened the scoring within seconds.  This was shortly followed by a terrific right foot curler from Joseph midway inside his own-half.  Dylan made a great one on one save just before the break when Joseph then hit another belter from outside of the box to grab his fourth goal of the campaign.  Josh Decarte then added his fourth of the campaign in just three matches with a great finish inside the box before Jack O’Neil finished the scoring with a well taken goal assisted by a great pass from Jaden.  Man of the Match deservedly went to Josh Overy who did not put a foot wrong all game and defended fantastically.

Match 2

Captain and Keeper Finn encouraged the boys to start the game at an electric pace and it was not long before Connors corner found Lewis who “smashed” home his third goal of the season.  Another terrific Will dribble using both feet inside the Chatham box saw him hit his first, shortly followed by his second goal after a great strike into the bottom left hand corner.  Will then added is third with a clinical finish, for his fifth hat-trick of the season.  This was shortly followed by Elijah cutting in from the right and hitting a left foot shot into the bottom right hand corner.  Connor then added to the scoring following a great cross from Samuel to claim his eighth goal in six games and our 100th goal of the season, before setting up Elijah (MOM) for his second of the game.  Isaac was a rock in the heart of defence and deservedly got his goal with a great finish just inside the box. A great match competed fantastically by both sets of players and teams.
