Football Under 7’s / Development Squad 2011/12

We are currently recruiting for more Under 7’s (Year 2) to join our existing Squad.

Training is every Saturday morning at Westlands School @ 9.30am and lasts about an hour. Qualified Coaches take the Training Sessions whose Qualifications include FA Level 1, FA Module 1 and FA Module 2. All Coaches have a current CRB check accepted by the FA, plus FA Emergency Aid and FA Safeguarding Children Certificates.

We follow the Football Association's recommended learning methods for young players, by introducing fun games and football with variety and challenge. Where they can run, dribble, shoot, score, tackle, turn, gets lots of touches of the ball. Our sessions are designed upon player-centred learning, but also endeavouring to manage the differences between the players. The overall result is the young players thoroughly enjoy the Training Sessions, whilst at the same time they are enhancing their FUNdamental movement skills of Agility, Balance, Co-ordination and Speed.

Each player will need to wear a complete Football kit, suitable footwear to the weather conditions at the time, shin pads and to bring a drink. For the colder/rainier days, we expect them to also wear/bring with them suitable attire to keep warm and dry.

Interested?  Please get in touch with contact below, or simply turn up for a Training Session on a Saturday morning.

We look forward to welcoming some new players to our Club.

Yours in sport

Milton & Fulston's commitment to our 'keepers

On Saturday 19th November 2011 Milton & Fulston United teamed up with Division 1 football club Wycombe Wanderers, to hold its first ever Goalkeeper training session with Wycombe’s first team Goalkeeping coach Martin Brennan.

This session was attended by the clubs U8, U10's, U11's, U13's and U14's Goalkeepers. In Martins first session, the boys were shown different warm up routines along with different handling techniques.

The session was well received by the enthusiastic Milton & Fulston keepers, who are all looking forward to the next training session with Martin in a couple of week’s time (Next session confirmed as 10th December).

On speaking with Martin after the session, Martin said that “he was impressed by the keepers that attended and was looking forward with working with them all over the coming months"

Milton & Fulston Utd would like to thank Under 14's coach Graham Hills for his work in arranging the sessions with Martin Brennan
